RUSTY COWBOY WAGON!

Well, we're having alot of fun decorating the Rusty Cowboy Wagon - my new mobile cowboy store in Bandera. We have dusty sitting up there on the wagon - now I know everyone is going to want a photo opp with him! Putting on cowhide seats and such and going to load it up with my cowgirl art, exotic purses and my signature hats.

Next, we see Wes Hatch and his mules stopping by yesterday to visit. He and Ron are going on a trail ride with their wagons this weekend. I'm staying home with the goats and chickens - that wagon is just too bumpy for me.

Oh, heres Blanco with my new horn injury prevention method. Looks like he has rollers on. Hey it works..

We've been coveting this wagon since we moved here and it worked out, we are now the new owners of this adorable mini covered wagon. I can't wait to gypsy it up and put cowhide seats on it. Now, which horse is going to pull it!

Well, it started out as "weight management" for Blanco Billy Diagoatah McGilvrey Parker. He looks like hes pregnant. He's a natural at pulling and of course, having the wagon master Ron as a teacher doesnt hurt! Of course, he likes to act up with me, but he's perfect with Ron. I need tennis balls for those horns before I get hurt. Ahhh - isnt he cute?

While driving the stagecoach in the Veterans day parade, Ron was dressed in all his fringed regalia with this old funky hat that I cherish. Intriqued, an artist in Bandera took a picture of Ron and about a week later, called us to tell us she had done a portrait in pastels and wanted us to see it. We were amazed, so had to buy it. This is a copy - the original is getting framed right now. We will be selling signed copies to pay for the original - if anyone is interested.

Well, winter is upon us - we miss the wood stove in Montana. Ron is working on the wagon, getting it read y for the Xmas benefit next weekend. Rigged with lights, music and bells.

Here is a picure of Annie Jane our pet hen wearing her tiara - I guarantee you've never seen that before!

My newest project - custom made saddle horn bags! Too fancy for the guys, but I think the cowgirls will love them.

Well, were' pretty much done for the season except for the Xmas parade and our charity covered wagon ride for the Helping Hand thrift store here in Bandera!

Yet another parade - Bandera is parade central! Ron let me hold the team for awhile, but there he is in all his fringed regalia. It was also the opening of Jeannie Parkers Frontier Town, which I didn't get pics of because our brakes disengaged from the coach and we had to get it home. There is Ron in all his fringed regalia!

Bandera was packed and all the street performers were out including us!

Generally, I don't take pictures of our clients with the stagecoach and we certainly don't let anyone ride shotgun, but in this case, I had to make an exception! Aaron and his dad were here hunting and Aaron is just the coolest, real deal cowboy and just looked every bit the "shotgun rider" part, so had to get a picture this time! Aaron has wagons and mules and three little cowgirls and his dad is very proud! Isn't this a great photo?

SATURDAY IN BANDERA, TEXAS

We took the stagecoach to town today and hung out with the other Bandera "street performers". Wes Hatch was there with his steer "Arrow" and then Dusty Britches showed up with his steer. Unfortunately, I ran out of film with the buffalo showed up! We had this wonderful crooner show up with his songs and story telling.

Theres a pic of our front yard - not everyone has a stagecoach in their front yard!

The dummy is Dusty - we rescued him from an abandoned hotel dowtown!

I love Dustry Britches green cowboy boots!

BANDERA RANCH HERITAGE DAYS!

Ron and I took the stagecoach out to the State Natural Area for Ranch Heritage days. I even got Ron into a costume, but on him, he just looked like the part! He was born 100 years too late!

The elderly gentleman that I photographed is Kevin Fitzpatrick's father. Kevin is a world famous trick roper and the real deal - look him up. Well, I had the pleasure of listening to him tell how Kevin learned to rope - wish I had had a tape recorder - it was classic!

Well - had to put the big white fluffy thing on the bed today - getting a cold spell in Texas - Ron is estatic,, me not so much - reminds me of Montana.

I've lost control of the chickens, fences can't keep them in - we almost lost them the other night - look at the size of that Possum whom Ron trapped in the chicken coop all night (minus the chickens) - chickens were so spooked that Ron had to force them into their house for 3 nights and even the goats wouldn't sleep in their house.
